There are many fascinating facts, things to do, and important items to bring to Delaware. This guide will make sure that you don’t get confused while you are there.

First of all, some tips on what to pack. It sort of depends on what season it is. In the summer, the average temperature is 75°F. Also, more than half of Delaware’s days are sunny, so, you should probably stock up on shorts and t-shirts. In the winter there is a total of 45 in. of snow so pack your boots and coat.

Next, you need to know some interesting facts. A few are that Delaware was the 1st state and is 49th in size. Delaware has no professional sports teams. Delaware’s state bird is the Blue Hen which is the University of Delaware’s mascot. The state flower is the Peach Blossom.
Finally, here are some things to do when you get there. Try visiting the state capital, Dover. You might want to tour Fort Delaware. If not, Pea Patch Island was a Civil War base. They say that the ghost of the veterans who died there are still there.
